1. Why do we delete inactive accounts?

To comply with data-minimisation principles (Art. 5 (1)(e) GDPR) and to keep our infrastructure secure, accounts that show no activity for six consecutive months are scheduled for automatic removal.

2. How the automatic process works

Inactivity detection. After 180 days without any sign-in, sync, or API request your account is flagged as dormant.
Deletion notice. We e-mail (and, if e-mail bounces, attempt SMS) to inform you that the account will be deleted in 30 days.
Grace period. During those 30 days you can reactivate the account simply by signing in with the latest app version while online. You will be prompted to confirm the reactivation.
Irrevocable purge. If you do not reactivate your account, all your data is permanently deleted from our systems.

Profile and, if applicable, company information
Properties & contacts
All user-generated content (inspections, additional reports) & associated data
OAuth tokens, sessions and device associations

Deleted data is not recoverable. Please export anything you need before the deadline.

4. Impact on PDF reports

Already-downloaded PDFs remain (often in your email), but embedded cloud links (e.g. high-resolution images) may stop working after our storage clean-ups, which run several times per year. If you need the originals:

Open the PDF.
Click the desired image, it will open in the browser.
Right-click → “Save image as…”.

5. Exceptions for corporate workspaces

Workspaces with at least one active member are not auto-deleted. If you receive an inactivity e-mail despite being part of an active company workspace, please contact support.

6. Manual deletion at any time

When you manually delete your account, a 15 days grace period applies.
Go to: Profile → Edit → Delete account.
If something blocks the deletion (e.g. an active subscription), you will be informed accordingly.
